Yet, I stand corrected by a friend. By definition, Spain has the best Spanish in the world. But a walk through the streets of Barcelona might have you questioning that.Bogotá, by contrast, has an incredibly neutral accent. Many people choose to come to Bogotá solely to learn Spanish. But… let me be clear. Just because you learn Spanish here, you won’t be able to understand Spanish in other countries. Although Argentina’s official language is Spanish, it shouldn’t be classified as that at all. Maybe Spanishgentina?
Bogotá = good Spanish.
They don’t speak Spanish in Barça, they speak Catalan.
No se habla castellano en Barça, se habla catalán.
No es parla castellà a Barça, es parla català.
And you’re all the way down in Bogotá, so you can’t punch me in the face
Kind of like speaking Colorado. And those that speak Texan.
