Reason #3: Because Even Bad Days Are Still Considered Awesome

Life is a roller coaster. Sometimes you’re at the top of the mountain, and other days, you’re free falling with no end in sight. But, for me, even those horrible days outweigh my best days back in my home country.Don’t get me wrong… I’ve had some rough moments. I’ve dealt with bureaucracy, been robbed three times, embarrassed because of my language skills, been betrayed, felt lonely, been depressed, and have even had my heart broken. But when those times come, I (as well as my Colombian family… aka, best friends), use the same motto…

“la vida es buena.”

Plus, where else in the world can you take 8 coffee breaks a day? Which I might add… is considered the norm.

Thus, this is reason #3 of 101 Reasons on Why I Love Bogotá.
